Nambucca Heads
On Friday morning we left Macksville and took the short drive to Nambucca Heads. We were staying with our friend Ruth. So we found her place and Ruth offered for us to park on the nature strip out front. It was quite a bit of a slope but it was off the road thankfully.
Ruth was not home when we arrived as we were early so we went for a walk to the lookout which was close by. We had been to Nambucca back in 2013 on the way back home from our NT trip but we never saw this lookout. It was a spectacular view. The water is just so gorgeous.
We then took the track down to the river and started walking into town. A beautiful waterway.
This family was a hoot. They crossed over the river to the sandbar for a picnic. Doing so without a boat was part of the adventure. So mum, dad and all the kids had boards and the dog had its own doggy life vest and goggles. Funny stuff.
Ruth picked us up and we went back to her place for lunch. When the girls went out for some shopping that afternoon I took the opportunity for some exercise on a good walk. I walked out to the various beaches for a look.
Then back home for a relaxed night with Ruth who did a great pork roast on the webber. A great dinner was followed with a beaut breakfast. Ruth then drove us to Toormina where I used the gym and the girls went shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nambucca and we really enjoyed your company Ruth. It was a fun time. Oh and of course it was good to see little Bess.
