Coopernook

On Thursday the 3rd December it was time to leave Yamba. It is a great spot. Well we decided that we wouldn’t go further north at this stage. We could have fitted in a couple of days at Evans Head which we have never been to but for one thing we have had our fill of the coast and we thought we would leave it for next time or for when we are passing through and looking for a spot to stay. We have had three weeks on our trip so far, but it is not over yet. We are spending Monday and Tuesday at Swansea with our friends, Lynn and Wal. The other reason is that we need to get back down to Linda’s parents place to give the old folk a hand with a few things. So with that we decided that for tonight we would stop at Coopernook at the Hotel there. The pub welcomes campers staying overnight who will patronize the pub. It was the biggest drive we have done on this trip, about 3.5 hours or something. It was an easy drive on the completed highway. We pulled into the back of the pub and set up.
The Coopy Hotel is on the Lansdowne River which runs into the Manning. A nice spot.
That night we went and had dinner at the pub. The food and staff were very good. It was a peaceful place to sleep and stop for the night.
